It’s that time of the year where class is almost back in session and the excitement of the new academic year is building. We know how challenging securing a spot at varsity can be (so congrats on that) and we also know the struggle of finding affordable, comfortable and perfectly located student accommodation, especially when you are new to Soweto. So if you’re still on the hunt for the perfect digz, look no further because we’ve got you!

The Power Park Digz is a contemporary student accommodation complex located in Power Park, Soweto, a 10 minute walking distance to the University of Johannesburg, Soweto Campus. The complex offers 138 beds in sharing units fitted with kitchenettes, showers as well as study desks for each student. The complex also offers a communal dining room, a laundry room, parking space and 24 hour security, making it the perfect space to live, study, socialise and make friends.

Every house has its rules so here’s a list of instructions to follow in order to secure your spot in 2024.

Fees

• There is a compulsory and non-refundable administration fee of R250 to be paid into the properties account.
• An optional storage fee of R500 can be paid to store a student tenant’s belongings during the registration process or during the recess periods.

Booking form

Once the above mentioned fees have been paid a booking must be completed and submitted to the administration staff. Confirmation letters will be sent via email once proof of payment has been received by the office.

To ensure a successful application, prospective student are required to submit the following documents;

• Proof of 2024 registration
• Proof of 2024 funding
• Copy of ID 
• Copy of student card
